Books I’ve been reading this month
Last month I didn’t read very much. This month I read much more. Thankfully. And each book was in a different genre! Bonus points.
I’ve not finished this one yet, but I’ve enjoyed it so far! I’m a huge fan of allegories, and Ela’s conversations with the Infinite help me understand and appreciate the Lord more. Oh, I love the power of fiction.:)
I mentioned this one last month, but it’s worth mentioning again.:) I love reading this aloud to some of my siblings.
I’m reading this one with some family members, and so far it’s been very enjoyable… despite the fact that it’s a romance.:) The plot is so complex, and I love how some of the characters are based off of characters in Dickens’ Bleak House.
I’ve also been able to venture into the dystopian genre while reading/editing a friend’s incredibly amazing novel-in-progress!!!

Thanks for the post! I’ve been reading (and not completing) a lot of books, including Things We Couldn’t Say by Diet Eman (so far, its an autobiography very similar to the Hiding Place), Don’t Waste Your Life by John Piper (I only got through the first two chapters but still absolutely incredible), and Once Upon A Summer by Janette Oke (Because of your suggestion, by the way. Thank you. It was a great book!). Prophet and the other books in the series are amazing… despite the fact that the story is a romance! 🙂 Oh, and thank you for the journal snippets. I always love those!

Aaahhh, ‘Prophet’ is SO good! There are two more books in the series (‘Judge’ and ‘King’,) which are also amazing! I also really liked the allegory and seeing an idea of what it would be like to be a female prophet. The book went so much deeper than much other YA fiction, which I loved (being a deep person *facepalm*)

Yes… I’ve been enjoying it! I’m totally an allegory girl… that’s probably my favorite aspect of the story. I’ll have to check out ‘Judge’ and ‘King’ if I enjoy ‘Prophet’.
