rewriting insomnia – a poem

what a privilege it is

to wrestle through the midnight watch

in sleeplessness and ink-stained prayers,

fearless, for the God who sees

has already sealed the answer…

yet still He waits – holds tenderly

the restless, inkstained hearts that skip

to the beat of holy longing.
