Hello, friends!
I’m crawling out of the woodwork to share a poem I wrote earlier this year, inspired by Psalm 103:14. I pray it’s a blessing!!🫶🏼
You know my frame, my Maker…
I was in Your thoughts before
You sculpted each bone,
laid foundations for my days,
raised the rafters of my intellect and
set my heartbeat racing, formed my lungs
to breathe Your Name before I loved it.
You know my propensity for fear
and curved my fingers inwards –
perfectly formed to be loveliest tucked in Yours.
You know my frame, my Lover…
every inch of this blood-bought soul
has felt Your gaze, and never once
have You averted Your eyes,
decided I’ve gone too far,
declared You never knew me.
You know what I have done – what I will do –
and still You speak my name
like it is sweetness on Your lips,
like I was worth each drop of blood.
what can I say to this? You know my frame:
that the good I will to do could not repay
this lavish love.
O Maker, Lover of this frame,
I give it back to You.
